How it works
To obtain the PNB, radio communications training is compulsory.
The specific PNB radio communications course lasts a minimum of 4 hours, of which at least 2 hours must be practical.
During this training you learn to use the main VHF maritime communication systems and how to make routine and emergency calls.
This part of the training is especially useful in real life: knowing how to use a radio properly can make all the difference when you need to call for help at sea.
