Practical training

Two different needs: completing the modules of a qualification or improving how you handle your own boat.

Complete a qualification

If you prepare and pass the theory on your own, you can book the practical training you still need here. First choose the qualification, then whether you need navigation or radio.

The exam, the practical training and the radio course do not have to be done on the same day or in a single training period.

In the Valencian Community, the official theory exams are set by the Generalitat Valenciana. But everyone is free to choose where to sit the official theory exam; in other words, you can take the exam in Murcia and do the practical training in the Valencian Community.

There is, however, one limit worth remembering.

The regulations set a maximum of 24 months to apply for the licence to be issued, counted from the dates on which you passed the exam, the practical training or the radio course. If that period is exceeded, the rights obtained may lapse and you may have to meet the corresponding requirements again.

That is why it is best to organise the course, exam, practical training, radio and medical certificate within the same reasonable period and apply for the qualification once all the requirements are complete.

Learn on your own boat

If you already have a boat, the best way to gain confidence is to practise on it. The school's director comes aboard with you as instructor and you do real practical training on your own boat, the one you will be skippering afterwards.

You choose what you want to improve: manoeuvring, berthing, anchoring, navigation or safety on board. The training is tailored to your experience and what you need.

As every boat is different, so is the price. Tell us which boat you have, its length and where it is moored, what experience you have and what you would like to work on, and we will prepare a quote.
